Poster Inspiration

The poster I made yesterday was hugely inspired by this poster I saw on Pinterest.

Drawings inspired by the people and artwork around me during a critique.

Images by Ju-Hong Chen. From "The Fourth Question: A Chinese Tale".

I really like this artwork, it’s very inspiring.

I basically like every single illustration Sam Bosma does. I save them to my hard drive and just open them up and get inspired.
sbosma:

I have a two-page spread in this week’s edition of Adweek Magazine, accompanying an article about retails businesses using subtle perfume as a sort of olfactory branding to draw people into their stores.
Super quick turnaround on this guy — assignment comes in Friday night, final goes out Tuesday night.
The magazine is printed with scratch-and-sniff ink over the perfume areas, which is grass scented. Fun!

This has nothing to do with my artwork, but if you watch the show Community, you will love this!
And if you haven’t seen it, watch a few episodes, the show is amazing!

But there’s another aspect to the All Is Lost moment, in fiction and in real life, that is often overlooked or underappreciated.

The All Is Lost moment comes at the instant when we stand on the threshold of moving to the next level. We sense this—and we panic.

I just saw some artwork for Scott C’s new children’s picture book "East Dragon, West Dragon". The book looks awesome, so I drew the East Dragon for a warmup today. This also reminds me, inking is fun. Don’t ever forget that!
